Backing up ZELmate

This guide explains the process to back up ZELmate Full Node/Swing wallet

Back up wallet file

Launch ZELmate and allow to sync to 100%.

From the upper left task bar, select Wallet, then Backup option

Choose a file path and name. Click the Save button

You will see a confirmation that your wallet file was backed up to your selected directory

Back up Private Keys (PKs)

From the upper left task bar, select Wallet, then Export private keys option.

Choose a file path and name. Click the Save button

You will see a confirmation that your private key dump file was backed up to your selected directory.

The private key dump file is stored in plaintext. Secure the file properly and delete from any location that is not secure, such as your daily computer.

If your private keys are compromised, your funds are not safe. The private keys allow sending of funds, so keep them secure. Do not store in the cloud, public computers, in plaintext, etc.

Use an encrypted flash drive to store your sensitive crypto files with a strong encryption password.
